Whereas 2008 was the year of Acheron and Sherrilyn Kenyon, 2009 is definitely the year of Lora Leigh.  She has three books coming out in the first quarter of '09.  The woman needs a vacation.  I liked WILD CARD and KILLER SECRETS, but the men are starting to be a bit cookie-cutter. And they spend 3/4 of the novel pissed off and horny.  That's not fun, and it's sure not sexy.  Maybe I just read them too much.  Thing is, Leigh is on an amazing roll of productivity and I would never begrudge someone that.  You never know when the next wave will come around, inspiration being the flighty muse that she is.  So the wait is on for a cornucopia of treats from Leigh: 1 breeds book, 1 Nauti Boys book, and 1 Elite Ops.  Seriously, I should ask for nothing else for the rest of the year.

My Acheron post still gets a lot of hits. That makes me happy. I'm probably going to write in the romance category more since that category gets the most hits.  There are so many romance novel blogs and sites.  They're incredibly good, with forums and reviews and interviews and all sorts of good stuff.  My little blogette is puny compared to those and it still gets a lot of hits. Well, you can't second guess the public.  They are fickle and they will like what they will like.  Fortunately, we happen to like the same authors/books.

I only ever like a couple of authors at a time.  Like, the last couple of years it's been Leigh and Kenyon.  Before that, it was Lori Foster and Dara Joy.  Before that, it was Jude Devereaux and Elizabeth Lowell.  I went through a Jaid Black phase but each Trek Mi'Qan story was worse than the last, so I gave up on her.  Gail Faulkner did a great job with Slipknot, Full Ride, and Wanna Play (www.ellorascave.com).  She's got a couple more books out since then, so I'll check those out before I declare myself done with that author.
