    IN A NUTSHELL 6: BUFFET O'BOOKS

Oops, I haven't done a roundup post in a while. Typical. Going strong one minute, absent the next. OCD, ADD --probably.  Therefore, OTD and ASAP, I'm OTJ.  LOL!

    DEEP THOUGHTS...BY MARCUS AURELIUS HANDY

WHY I WRITE -- BONDING WITH ORWELL
These 2 entries are part of a new category I created this month.  I carry books in my purse and  car because I'm always stuck in a line somewhere. A lot of my life is spent in drive-thru lines. So I carry smallish books that contain powerful information -- bang-for-your-buck sort of thing.
ART & THE ART OF COFFEE TABLE BOOKS (CTBs)

ART & THE ART OF COFFEE TABLE BOOKS (CTBs) II
At the other extreme, CTBs are effing BIG! You could use them for lap desks. I have mixed feelings about these books as most of them are unreadable. For being really big, they tend to have eensy-teensy print -- proof that they don't care if you read them or not. Just look at the pretty pictures or show them off on a table like you would a vase of flowers.
ACHERON – THE MAN, THE GOD, THE FIANCE, THE BOOK
Wow! Action-packed book. The zenith of Dark-Hunter culture.  A biography 11,000 years in the making.  2 fingers up to Artemis, goddess of intrigue. CAUTION: THIS POST CONTAINS MANY SPOILERS.
BOOKS THAT SUCK -- PART 1

BORING THINGS PEOPLE SAY ABOUT BOOKS & READING
If you have these sucky books, burn them to keep warm.  If you have ever said any of the boring things, shut your festering gob and vow never to say them again.
2009 PRE-ORDERS: FANNING THE FIRE OF DESIRE 2009 is the year of Lora Leigh! Caveat: these books are designed to appeal to more adventurous women. Women -- females 25 years old and up.
YAY, ME! THE FESTERING BLURB IS 1 YEAR OLD! I celebrate my first year of blogging. I really didn't think I'd take to it this much, but I really love it. So much freedom to express.  So much knowledge to share.
HAIKU BOOK BLURBS One of my more artistic creations. I don't know if the haiku is any good, but I like it.
HI, I'M SWETERGRL. AND I'M A BROKE-ASS BOOKAHOLIC... So many books. So little time and money.
OLDIES BUT GOODIES 3: HORS D'OEUVRES OF FRENCH PHILOSOPHERS, APPETIZERS OF A. CONAN DOYLE I did these during the summer -- "when I had world enough and time."  They are about my collection of really, really old books that I picked up around San Antonio when I lived there. I went to every book rummage sale for years, as well as spending hours and hours at Half-Price Books.  The shopping used to be it for me, but as I've grown older, it's not the shopping so much as the reading that satisfies.
OLDIES BUT GOODIES, PARTE THE SECONDE

HEAPIN' HELPIN' OF OLDIES BUT GOODIES
More dusty, musty tomes.  I probably have the most educated dust mites and silverfish in history.
Skippyjon Jones: A Siamese Cat Who Thinks He's a Chihuahua I collect books for my writing classroom.  This one is too, too adorable.  It's fun to read aloud.  The language is melodic and contains elements of poetic language such as onomatopoeia and alliteration.  VIVA SKIPPITO!
